Hold On is an artistic statement, an ethnographic inquiry, and a cultural offering. It exists at the intersection of lived experience, visual storytelling, and Black feminist thought. In centering the personal as political and the object as archive, this project challenges the viewer to reconsider the profound significance of the everyday. It affirms that within the mundane lies the miraculous—that a worn-out keychain or an old grocery list can be just as sacred as any grand monument. And most importantly, it declares that the stories Black women carry—whether of pain, pleasure, or possibility—are always worthy of being seen, heard, and held.
